James G. Breckenridge

Executive Director and Associate Professor

Education and Academic Interests

Mr. Breckenridge is the Executive Director of the Institute of  Intelligence Studies. He received his B.A. from Virginia Tech, his M.A. in History from the University of Virginia, and his M.B.A. at Gannon University.  Mr. Breckenridge is the former Dean of the Walker School of Business and was the first Chair of the Department of Intelligence Studies. He is a retired Army officer with over 22 years experience in a variety of operations, intelligence and teaching assignments. He has served as a Professor of Military Science, a Targeting Intelligence instructor,  and he is a former faculty member in the History Department at West Point. In addition to his administrative and teaching duties, Mr. Breckenridge teaches courses in Intelligence methods for the Department of Defense and The U.S. Department of State.
