Stephen Marrin

Mr. Marrin is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia, specializing in the study of intelligence. He previously served as an analyst with the Congressional Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Marrin has written many articles on intelligence, including one describing and evaluating new analyst training at CIA’s Sherman Kent School, and another comparing intelligence analysis to medical diagnosis as a source of ideas for improving the quality of future intelligence analysis. In 2004 the National Journal profiled him as one of the ten leading US experts on intelligence reform. Mr. Marrin is a member of the editorial advisory board for the International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence.
